Visitors to this medieval manor house
in Somerset have heard a variety of ghostly sounds. Barking dogs, accompanied
by a distant hunting horn, have been heard near to the bowling green. It is
thought that these sounds are made by the ghosts of King John's hunting pack
and horsemen.
The chilling sound of plainsong has been heard on
several occasions, floating across the grounds surrounding the manor.
